What Is OSHA 30 Training?

OSHA 30-Hour Training is an online course designed to prepare supervisors and workers for workplace safety and health hazards. It covers topics such as jobsite safety, risk avoidance, workers' rights, and employer obligations. The U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) requires an official OSHA 30 card for employment in construction and other industries.

Who Needs OSHA 30-Hour Training?

Our OSHA 30-Hour Construction course is recommended for workers starting out in construction. OSHA classifies supervisors in all industries—aside from construction, agriculture, and maritime—as general industry workers and advises them to complete the 30-Hour General Industry course.

Entry-level employees who do not have specific safety obligations for their employment should complete the 10-Hour OSHA training.

How Do I Earn My OSHA 30 DOL Card?

You will receive an official OSHA 30 DOL card in the construction or general industry after successfully completing the 30-Hour training program.

You can download a certificate of completion as soon as the course is completed. This is to show your employer that you have finished your training while you wait for your OSHA 30 card to arrive in the mail.

How Long is an OSHA 30 DOL Card Good For?

Except for the marine card, the DOL card does NOT expire under OSHA regulations. However, the majority of businesses require their employees to retake the training every three to five years to stay up to date.

NOTE: REMEMBER OSHA REQUIRES THE OUTREACH COURSE AND THE END OF COURSE SURVEY BOTH BE COMPLETED WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS OF BEGINNING THE COURSE OR A DOL CARD WILL NOT BE ISSUED!
